Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website comfortably. This page explains how accessible it is and how to tell us if something gets in your way.

What we aim for

We design and test this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That includes:

  • text colours with at least 4.5:1 contrast against their background
  • full keyboard access, with a clear outline showing where you are
  • a skip link to the main content and a logical heading order
  • link text that makes sense on its own, and descriptions for meaningful images
  • forms with visible labels and clear error messages
  • a button to pause animation, and no animation at all if you’ve turned on reduced motion on your device
  • pages that still work when zoomed to 400% and on small screens

Known issues

Some older blog posts and documents from other organisations may not fully meet the standard yet. We’re working through them.
